Be the GREEN You! 🍏🌿

It’s 2015, most of our New year resolutions to start dieting and being healthier have probably slowly started to go down the drain. Personally, vegetables and fruits are not something in my daily intake but recently i visited the Westin Hotel in Cape Town and tasted this ‘Green Smoothie/Juice”. At first i didn’t like it but once you start sipping it the taste becomes better! Not only does it look and taste quite healthy but it also has amazing benefits! I made sure to get the recipe from the chef at the hotel before i left as i wanted to make this smoothie filled with loads of vitamins into my daily routine.

Below listed are the benefits of each ingredient in the smoothie:
●Spinach: It is filled of vitamin K, B6, C etc and gives you radiant looking skin as well as stonger and healthier hair.

●Apples: Contains Vitamin C which is an immune system booster, promotes digestion and detoxes the body.

●Strawberries: High in Vitamin C, helps burn stored fat, boosts short term memory, promotes bone and eye health and is good for weight loss.

And here’s the EASIEST Recipe;
Ingredients:
4 cups of spinach chopped
4 green apples roughly chopped
1 cup of strawberries diced into tiny pieces
1 cup of any kind of apple juice

Method:
Put all the above ingredients in a blender and blend for a minute or two until it looks like a fine green liquid. If you aren’t fond of a thick smoothie then add more apple juice till you get the texture suited.
Don’t be afraid to add your own favorite fruits as well; such as blueberries, bananas and even papaya!

Enjoy & Live a Healthy Life! 💚
