Here’s a quick recipe for butter chicken in less than 10 minutes.
Serving size: 1 person (me.. haha)
2 pieces of fillet chicken chopped into large pieces.
1 tablespoon chilli powder
3/4 tablespoons salt
Half tablespoon pepper
Pinch of haldi
Pinch of jeera seeds
2 tablespoons tomato puree
3 tablespoons yoghurt
150mls fresh cream
1 green chilli finely chopped
Hand full of coriander for garnishing
2 tablespoons ghee
Take a pot and put it on medium heat, put 2 tablespoons of ghee into the pot. Add your chopped pieces of chicken fillet and jeera seeds and let it cook for a minute. Add your garlic and all the masalas except tomato puree, yoghurt and fresh cream.
Cook the chicken in the masalas for another 3 to 4 minutes. Then add in tomatoe puree and yoghurt. Cook for a further 1 minute.
Add in the fresh cream and leave to boil for a few more minutes.
Garnish with chillies and coriander.
Serve with naan bread or roti.
